01 · Acceptance

Agreement to these terms

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Unscripted Cooking by Chef Reem (“Unscripted Cooking,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the website, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into an agreement to submit an inquiry or arrange services through this website.

02 · Website use

Information on the website

The website introduces Chef Reem, sample menus, press features, service areas, and the private-dining experience. Photos, sample menus, pricing discussions, availability, and other content are illustrative and may change. We try to keep information accurate but do not guarantee that every item is complete, current, or available for every event.

03 · Inquiries and bookings

An inquiry is not a confirmed reservation

Submitting the inquiry form does not reserve a date, create a catering or private-chef contract, or guarantee availability. A booking is confirmed only after we agree in writing to the event details and you satisfy any stated deposit, payment, or signature requirements.

Final menus, pricing, staffing, travel charges, rentals, payment schedules, cancellation terms, gratuity, alcohol service, and other event-specific terms will be stated in a separate proposal, invoice, or service agreement. If that agreement conflicts with these website Terms, the signed event agreement controls for the booked services.

You agree to provide complete and accurate contact and event information and to update us promptly if important details change.

04 · Payments

Custom proposals, deposits, and balances

Every event is priced individually. Your proposal or invoice may include a per-person menu price based on the confirmed guest count, as well as staffing, travel, rentals, beverages, taxes, gratuity, or other agreed event charges.

Unless your event-specific proposal states otherwise, a 50% deposit is required to reserve the date and the remaining balance must be received no later than seven calendar days before the scheduled event. Payment is processed through a secure Stripe-hosted invoice page. Unscripted Cooking does not receive or store your complete card number.

Changes to the guest count, menu, staffing, location, or services may change the final balance. Unless an event-specific proposal or service agreement expressly states otherwise, the reservation deposit is non-refundable after payment. Additional cancellation, refund, rescheduling, and final guest-count terms may be stated in your event proposal or service agreement. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived.

05 · Food and allergies

Please disclose dietary needs early

You are responsible for telling us about allergies, dietary restrictions, religious requirements, and foods to avoid before a menu is finalized, and for communicating relevant information for every guest. We will use reasonable care when planning around disclosed needs.

Private homes, venues, shared kitchens, equipment, and ingredients may contain or come into contact with common allergens. Unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing, we cannot guarantee an entirely allergen-free environment. Severe or life-threatening allergies must be discussed directly with us before booking.

06 · Text-message terms

Unscripted Cooking inquiry updates

When you select “Text message” as your preferred contact method, provide your mobile number, and submit the inquiry form, you consent to receive service-related text messages from Unscripted Cooking about your inquiry, availability, menu planning, booking, or event details. Message frequency varies based on your inquiry and conversation. These messages are not a subscription to promotional marketing.

• Consent to receive texts is not a condition of purchase.
• Reply STOP to opt out of future text messages.
• Reply HELP for help or email info@unscriptedcooking.com.
• Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

You represent that you are the subscriber or customary user of the mobile number you provide and that you are authorized to consent to messages at that number. If your number changes, please notify us. For details about mobile information, see our Privacy Policy.

07 · Acceptable use

Use the website lawfully

You may not:

• Use the website for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or misleading purposes.
• Submit false inquiries, impersonate another person, or interfere with another person's use.
• Attempt to bypass security, access nonpublic systems, introduce harmful code, or disrupt the website.
• Copy, scrape, republish, or commercially exploit website content without permission.

08 · Ownership

Intellectual property

The website and its original text, branding, design, photographs, graphics, menus, and other content are owned by or licensed to Unscripted Cooking and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may view the website for personal, noncommercial purposes. No other rights are granted without our prior written permission.

09 · Third-party services

External links and services

The website may include Google Maps or links to third-party websites and services. We do not control those third parties and are not responsible for their content, availability, security, or privacy practices. Your use of a third-party service is governed by that provider's own terms and policies.

10 · Disclaimers

Website availability and liability

The website is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties relating to the website, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free access.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Unscripted Cooking will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of—or inability to use—the website. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law. Liability connected with booked services is governed by the applicable event agreement.

11 · Indemnification

Your responsibility

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold Unscripted Cooking and its owners, personnel, and service providers harmless from claims, losses, or expenses arising from your unlawful use of the website, material violation of these Terms, or infringement of another person's rights.

12 · Governing law

Connecticut law applies

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute relating solely to these website Terms will be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction located in Connecticut, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

13 · General terms

Updates, severability, and waiver

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of the right to enforce it later.
